In addition to Mohs micrographic surgery, we perform a variety of surgical procedures
on the skin for cancer as well as for other indications. We routinely remove skin
growths that are suspicious or irritating or aesthetically displeasing
(note that the latter are not covered by insurance). We remove congenital nevi (moles present since birth) through
routine excision or serial excision (staged excision).
We can also improve the appearance of scars through scar revision techniques, dermabrasion, or pulsed-dye laser treatments with our V-Beam laser.
We also have
Blue Light (Photodynamic Therapy), which is a novel approach to the management of sun-damaged skin.
It is approved for the removal of pre-cancerous actinic keratoses but is also effective in improving the deleterious effects of aging and sunlight.
